Familiarity with using the basic functions of a computer such as navigating the Windows environment, navigating the internet and operating a mouse and keyboard would be an advantage but are not essential. If you don't already have these skills taking a course in Computer Basics first may be beneficial.

The methods used for job hunting today aren’t a lot different from those of the past, however, the process is almost entirely online now and requires a degree of digital competency to navigate the components of the process. You will discover CV’s and cover letters need to be tailored for each job application, that often you have to pass a round of robots scanning your CV and cover letter for keywords before it lands in the hands of a human and that the interview process may be conducted via video and can be one-way or two-way communication. This course aims to provide users with the basic digital skills required to find and apply for employment online.
